Children's Ministry Information

Children love to hear stories. They sit quietly enthralled as the pages of a book flip and their eyes dance in excitement as they plead with you, "tell me another story, please!"

At New City we invite children to hear the greatest of all stories in the story of the Bible. We want them to discover for themselves that Jesus is the hero at the center of God's great story of salvation — and at the center of their own story too. Because of Jesus and his life, death, and resurrection, they are loved, accepted, and rescued.

Every Sunday children are able to participate in the story of Jesus by praying together, singing songs, hearing a story, making a craft, or writing in journals. We offer two different aged classes, 3 to 5 year olds and 6 to 9 year olds. We also offer nursery care for children under the age of 3.

New City Church wants to bless children and parents by coming alongside families and by giving them tools to help raise their children in the life of the gospel.

We take the safety of children seriously. We have qualified, screened volunteers with proper accountability programs and equipment to ensure that your child is properly cared for.

Keep an eye out for neighbourhood events and programs that we host for kids: Easter Egg hunt, a July Kid's Day Camp, and even a program for children in the Hill Street Garden that we partner in. These events are lots of fun and you will get to meet other families in the neighbourhood while you are there!
